This Software is about being predictable; an excellent tool for Managing Performance,
focusing the energy of an Organization/Project in finding the root causes of the problems,

- AXIS, a software that monitors KPI trends, at the Work-place (The place to go in search for improvements) and predict future performance (using Individual Control charts)
- It can be used on any kind of Industry (From Big Companies to Small size business; on Engineering Construction business, a project-based industry. It also can be used in a manufacturing or business process (in Projects, Processes, Departments, or a business unit). With Axis, the performance information gathered is analyzed, obtaining an Individual Control Chart, a compliance chart, sigma level and Cpk index, and finally an overall performance index integrated in a Radar Chart

Installation of AXIS
- The installation is a 2 files compacted with WINRAR (if you have any problem, please let me know, and I will send to you the 2 files separately)
- Just Double-Click in “setup.exe” and it will install in less than 2 minutes.
- Open Axis.exe
- Open the project “EXAMPLE_1.kpj”. You also can create new projects, but the SAVE option is not active, in order to activate the save option, please contact Robert Santana (rsantana@topkaizen.ca)
More on AXIS
With the name of the project selected we can access the option “Radar Chart”. It shows that the 'Project Performance Index' is 69.46% (A project could be a complete Business Unit, or a Department, a production plant, an area)
it shows also the overall performance of the 7 KPIs in the project.
The KPI with the best Performance is: KPI1-Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
· With the name of the KPI selected, we can access the options “I Chart” and “Compliance Chart”
The I Chart, an individual Control Chart, shows that the variation is normal, and that there is a positive trend. Therefore, the process is predictable
- The Compliance Chart shows that in January, March, and May this metric was out of specifications, however, in the last 4 months this metric has been under Client Specifications. A positive sign of improvements:
- AXIS also shows the Sigma Level and the Cpk of each KPI:
The ‘SPI’ Standard Deviation (0.0953) is close to the industry average (0.08 for matures companies, and 0.16 for less mature companies). The variation is due to common causes
